Meet the Team

Rachel and Tove have dedicated their lives to becoming a healing presence in the world. They believe that every being is sacred and entitled to the realization of their true nature. They are soul sisters who have been colleagues, co-teachers and advocates for their clients for many years.

They have studied and explored nonduality in its many forms for over 30 years and are indebted to the grounded path of Nondual Shamanism® that Jason Shulman has forged from his deep exploration into the nature of reality.

Meet Tove Borgendale

Tove is a life-long student, a mother, a visual artist, and a teacher of Impersonal Movement® and Nondual Shamanism®. She began her studies with ASOS in 2006 and has been apprenticing with Jason Shulman since 2017. Tove has over 25 years of experience working with complex and preverbal trauma and takes a holistic approach to healing body/mind/spirit and heart. She is licensed as a massage therapist with a focus in PTSD and developmental trauma as it relates directly to befriending, honoring and trusting our bodies.

She also teaches multiple topics in Polyvagal Theory to therapists and bodyworkers. Tove has found immense kindness in the practices of Nondual Shamanism®. She appreciates being able to accompany people wherever they may be on their journey as they discover their own holiness reflected in the world.

Meet Rachel Zimmer

Rachel is a wife and mother, a teacher and healer, and a lifelong student of our deep connectedness to all things. Rachel’s interest in healing began as a teen, when she became ill and struggled to recover until she was introduced to integrative medicine and mind/body/spirit practices. Her personal healing journey inspired her to dedicate her adult life to honoring and serving others.

Rachel has worked as a Patient-Family Engagement Specialist in the Psychiactric Unit at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, where she supported families and created an art therapy program for patients. Previously, she worked in pediatric hospice, supporting parents throughout their children’s dying process. She also ran camps for children with cancer and camps for children who have lost siblings, and was a director of a support program for parents of children with disabilities. She is also a certified life and health coach and has a certificate in mediation. Currently, she has a full-time nondual healing practice.

Rachel began her studies with ASOS in 2007 and has been apprenticing with Jason Shulman since 2017. She is excited to be co-teaching the transformational work of Nondual Shamanism®, helping others find their own pathway to wholeness.

Meet the Apprentices

Kitty Folmer

Kitty’s search for the truth and the meaning of life initially led her to study Psychology at the University of Amsterdam. As a psychologist she found we cannot fully heal if it’s only limited to talk therapy. Hence, she started on a new journey towards a broader spiritual path.

She attended the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, an intensive training program along with ASOS’s Nondual Kabbalistic Healing training. She continued her studies to include the Nondual Shaman work which inspires her to go beyond the ‘known’ and still be profoundly grounded in reality.

Currently Kitty has her own healing practice in Amsterdam.  There she is also the founder of ‘Art is Alive’ where she teaches and inspires students to connect to art in a different way. She combines her love of art and her deep spiritual connection to all things to stimulate an innovative technique which encourages students to experience art on a deeper level.  This unique technique allows for the hidden treasure of the art's masterpiece to be revealed and embodied. It is her passion to bring this work into world.
